The Clifton Down
4.74,022 Google reviews
One of Bristol's great dog walks. The Downs, made up of Clifton Down and Durdham Down, cover 440 acres of open grassland right on the edge of the city with spectacular views across the Avon Gorge. Walk Ladies Mile for a gentle open-air circuit, drop into The Gully for woodland paths and a babbling brook, or head to the Sea Wall for dramatic gorge views. Big enough that you'll never get bored of it.
Hound notes
Mostly off-lead friendly across the open grassland. Watch for cars on the roads that cross the Downs. The Gully woodland section is particularly good for dogs who like to sniff and splash.
